His entrepreneurial journey commenced in 1992 with the establishment of Entertex (M) Sdn Bhd, which marked his entry into the textile sector. In 2003, he broadened his business pursuits by founding Pinly Garment (M) Sdn Bhd, laying the groundwork for what would evolve into an extensive business empire.
In 2007, Dato’ Lee ventured into retail by launching Pasaraya MU Sdn Bhd, which has flourished into a successful chain with 18 branches throughout Selangor. In 2015, he diversified further by acquiring Exhaust Garment Sdn Bhd, a company known for its wide-ranging garment distribution to supermarkets in the country.
The culmination of Dato’ Lee’s vision materialised on July 1, 2022, with the creation of EMPG, headquartered in Kedah, Malaysia. The group encompasses subsidiaries such as Pinly Garment (M) Sdn Bhd, Pasaraya MU Sdn Bhd, and Exhaust Garment Sdn Bhd. EMPG excels in designing, marketing, and selling business and casual apparel for men and women and school uniforms.
EMPG owns 18 retail outlets in Selangor and over 500 consignment counters strewn across large-format retailers and standalone shops nationwide. Its robust e-commerce platform also caters to the demands of contemporary consumers.
The group’s diverse portfolio features Exhaust, Millward, MU-7, Elmer, Idexer, Ventine, John Rider, Oxen, Give Me Five, A-Plus, MW, and Hummer. These brands share the goal of establishing premier lifestyle apparel for the mass market, offering an extensive range of products from casual wear to formal clothing and school uniforms.
