Marcoco’s policy of no minimum order quantity ensures flexibility for all buyers, and the company maintains a substantial warehouse stock valued at RM40 million, allowing it to meet customer demands efficiently. Since 2012, Marcoco has upheld its mission to establish positive customer resonance and will continually develop new products that align with market trends, ensuring its offerings remain relevant and appealing. The in-house design team creates unique and comfortable designs, contributing to Marcoco’s reputation for quality and innovation.
The company has received recognition for its excellence, winning the Best Product Design Award at the Malaysia Furniture Export Exhibition in 2004, 2005, 2008, 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2019. The Malaysian Furniture Promotion Council (MFPC) also accredited it with the Malaysia Pride Award.
Datuk Cha Hoo Peng, JP (Justice of the Peace), a founding member of Marcoco, is an adviser to the Malaysian Furniture Association, where he served as president from 2002 to 2007. During his tenure, he organised a significant Export Furniture Exhibition (EFE) in 2006 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, which promoted Malaysian-made furniture internationally and stimulated the domestic economy. Since then, Malaysian furniture exports have reached RM12 billion in annual sales, positioning Malaysia among the world’s top ten largest furniture exporters.
In response to market demand, the company established branches in East Malaysia, specifically in Sabah and Sarawak, in 1987. With over 40 years of experience in the furniture industry, Datuk Cha took on significant leadership roles starting in 1999. “We are also customising furniture for new condominium and hotel projects,” Marcoco executive director Datuk Cha Hoo Peng says.
In addition to his accomplishments in the furniture industry, the Prime Minister of Fiji appointed him as Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Fiji in Penang in 2020. He is also an executive committee member in the Council of Federal Datuks in Malaysia (Majlis Datuk Persekutuan Malaysia) and the Honorary Consular Corps Malaysia. His efforts have focused on assisting the national furniture industry in overcoming various challenges, demonstrating his commitment to local and international relations.
